Henry Togna
Proprietor and Managing Director

Henry made the decision to transform 22 Jermyn Street into a luxury townhouse hotel in 1990 and so became a hotelier. Prior to this his business interests had been concentrated in the property management and development fields, in which he had established a highly successful specialist company. His main expertise and success had been in the conversion of high quality, residential and commercial period buildings in central London and this led him to extend his business interests into the USA, the Middle East and Europe, dividing his time between London and travelling overseas.

In addition to the many services and facilities of 22 Jermyn Street, Henry has used his interest in the culinary arts to produce a restaurant guide for his guests. Based on his discerning experience of restaurants in St James's, Mayfair, Belgravia and further afield. He also produces a variety of other newsletters for his guests and this web site.

Laurie Smith
Director and General Manager

Originating from Brighton, England, Laurie spent 4 years studying Hotel & Catering Management. Upon moving to France she entered the hotel world working at prestigious Left Bank properties Lutetia and Montalembert, as well as Le Château de Noirieux located in the Loire Valley.

Time spent in the French island of Saint Barthélemy found sharpening her skills at the luxurious Guanahani and Le Toiny hotels.

Laurie finally returned to her native Britain as General Manager of "22" in 1997.


Saeed Iqbal Gillani
Finance Director

Saeed joined the London practice of Temple Gothard & Co as a trainee accountant, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. He joined their top accountants in the audit department and was promoted to Audit Supervisor following additional training courses, extensive experience with top clients and support staff, and participation in the development of audit documentation and techniques.

Saeed maintains excellent all-round financial skills - analytical, drafting, commercial and legal - as well as sound strategic awareness.

Annie McCrann
Deputy General Manager

Originally from Southern Ireland, Annie McCrann entered the lodging arena during an 8 year tenure at a privately owned hotel near the Kings Road in London.

Annie segwayed to "22" in July 1994 taking the position of Executive Housekeeper. In December 1996 she was promoted to Duty Manager and in July 2000 was again promoted, this time to Deputy General Manager.

Siobhain O'Hanlon
Duty Manager

Siobhain O'Hanlon is originally from Dublin, Ireland and arrived at "22" in June 1995 to begin her career in the hotel business.

Employed as a chamber person, she then elected to study Hotel and Catering Management at Westminster College. In 1996 she was promoted to Deputy Housekeeper and again to Head Housekeeper in 2000. Siobhain subsequently left the housekeeping department for management and is now Duty Manager and in charge of Reservations.

Fran O'Hanlon
Head Reception and Duty Manager

Fran O'Hanlon also originally from Dublin, Ireland, arrived at "22" in 1998 after a gap year spent traveling the world. Fran started as Night Manager and quickly moved to the day team, now in charge of reception and Duty Manager shifts.

Iryna Ivanova
Head Housekeeper

Iryna, originally from The Ukraine, joined "22" in March 2007 after many years spent at the prestigious Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge.
