HEATHROW AIRPORT

Chauffeur Driven Car
Our service will meet you at the Arrivals gate, take care of your luggage and bring you to the hotel. Journey time is between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on traffic. The price is £80.00 (plus grats) to and from Heathrow. The vehicles are E class Mercedes with good uniformed drivers. Larger vehicles can be arranged. N.B. Drivers are not always uniformed.

Taxis
You pick up the cab at the airport or we can arrange for one of our favourite cabbies to collect you at a fixed cost of £69.00 (plus grats) from Heathrow airport and £57.00 (plus grats) to Heathrow. If you pick one up, you have to pay metered cost which can be expensive if you get held up in traffic.

Heathrow Express
Trains run every 15 minutes and the journey time is 15 minutes (20 minutes from Terminal 4) at a cost of £14.50 one way, £27.00 return or First class £23.50 one way, £45.00 return. From Paddington to “22” takes approximately 20 minutes by taxi, at about £10.00.

Taxi Bike
An excellent, safe and fast (35 - 40 mins) is the bike service operated by Addison Lee. Big comfortable BMWs with an 'armchair' pillion seat, helmet and fully protected clothing supplied, will whisk you and your hand luggage to Heathrow (£51.50).

Underground / Subway
The Piccadilly Line runs from Heathrow airport to Piccadilly Circus and we are about a 2 minute walk from the station. The fare is £3.60 (you must buy your ticket before you go on the train), but the journey is interminable, with many stops. Allow at least 45 minutes. Not really advisable with anything but a carry-on.

By far the cheapest way to get around public transport now is the "Oyster card" Oyster is a 'smartcard' which makes buying and using tickets easier. An Oyster card can store up to £90 of pay as you go credit. It can be used on the Tube, trams, buses, DLR, London Overground and some national rail services in London. Oyster single fares are generally cheaper; credit can be used as you need it and doesn’t expire. Daily price capping automatically calculates the cheapest fare for the journeys you make in a single day

Oyster cards can be purchased on line at most Tube station ticket offices, at over 2,200 Oyster Ticket Stops across London, or some London Over ground station ticket offices When you first get your Oyster card, you will need to pay a refundable £3 deposit if you are only adding cash to pay as you go.

Please let us know if you would like us to purchase one for your arrival, we can add credit and charge your account – much easier than queuing!

GATWICK AIRPORT

Chauffeur Driven Car
The same comments apply as for the Heathrow airport service above. You should allow 1 to 1.5 hours either way and the price is £135.00 (plus grats) to or from Gatwick airport. N.B. Drivers are not always uniformed.

Taxis
Again, one of our favourite cabbies, Ted or Tommy can collect you at a cost of £103.00 (plus grats) from Gatwick airport and £103.00 (plus grats) to the airport.

Gatwick Express
This is certainly the quickest way with new, smart trains. Journey time to and from Victoria Station is 30 minutes and trains run every 15 minutes. The fare is £12.00 one way, £23.50 return or first class is £19.00 one way, £38.00 return – you can pay on the train, so don’t bother lining up for a ticket. Victoria Station is about 10 minutes from “22” by taxi and the fare is around £7.00.

STANSTED AIRPORT

Chauffeur Driven Car
The same comments apply as for the Gatwick Service. You should allow between 1.5 - 2 hours either way, depending on traffic and the price is £135.00 (plus grats). N.B. Drivers are not always uniformed.

Taxis
A little too far for cabs, but we can arrange a quote. Probably £105 there and £110 back (plus grats).

Trains
There is an express train service between Liverpool Street Station and Stansted, which takes 45 minutes. One class only, £14.50 single and £24.00 return. To and from Liverpool Street by taxi is 20 – 40 minutes and costs between £12.00 - £15.00 (plus grats).

LONDON CITY AIRPORT

Taxis
To and from "22" by taxi takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour and costs approximately £25.00 (plus grats).

EUROSTAR

Taxis
Waterloo Station is only a 10 - 15 minute ride from the hotel at a taxi cost of approximately £8.00 (plus grats). With regret we cannot pre-book taxis to meet you at Waterloo. NB from November 14th Eurostar terminal will move to St. Pancreas.

Underground / Subway
It’s only a short walk to the subway station from the Eurostar terminal and the Bakerloo Line comes directly to Piccadilly Circus (only 3 stops and £2.00 fare).

CAR HIRE

We can arrange car hire at any of the above airports or stations and can give you directions into London and anywhere onwards.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO 22 JERMYN STREET

Driving directions are, for simplicity, from Hyde Park Corner. For further information, please visit the Transport for London website.

•  Follow the signs to Piccadilly Circus – it will only take a few minutes.
•  You will pass Green Park on your right – the road you are on is called Piccadilly.
•  You will pass the Ritz Hotel on your right and when the road widens after the traffic lights, get into the right hand lane and turn right at the lights just before Fortnum and Mason store into Duke Street, St James’s.
•  Drive straight on past the lights until you get to the bottom of the street and turn left into King Street, which leads into St James’s Square.
•  Take the second left out of the Square into Charles II Street and at the end of that street, turn left into Lower Regent Street.
•  Drive up the hill, keeping to the left.
•  Turn left at the first traffic lights by the Tesco Supermarket into Jermyn Street, and 22 Jermyn Street is 50 yards on the right hand side.

Please note there is no direct parking at "22", but if you are traveling by car there are several options in the area however they are all very expensive!

1) Metre parking is available in Jermyn Street and in the neighbouring streets at the cost of £1.00 per 15 minutes and cars need to be moved every 2 hours. Parking is free from 6h30pm until 8h30 am and all day on Sundays. Beware the wardens are ruthless!

2) Babmaes Street car park is located just a few minutes from "22". Babmaes Street is the first road on the left almost opposite the hotel. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is fully attended at all times. They also offer a full valeting service. Please note that it cannot take "people-carriers" or long vehicles as cars are transported in a lift to lower floors. They offer preferential rates to "22" guests, 12 to 24 hours costs £33.00. For bookings please call 0800 674 3944 directly or ask us to book for you.

3) The nearby Cavendish Hotel on the corner of Jermyn Street and Duke Street will often have spaces and can accommodate all types of vehicles. It is also open 24/7 and charges £50 for 9 – 24 hours, reservations are recommended.

With regret, due to our insurance restrictions we are unable to valet park your car for you.
